Lisa joined the University in March 2013.  As Vice President and General Counsel, Lisa provides general legal counsel to the President, the University's governing boards, and its senior academic and administrative officers; advises on the legal implications of University policy and decision-making; and manages the team of lawyers and administrative professionals who serve in the Office of University Counsel. Prior to joining Georgetown, Lisa served in the Administration of President Obama, first as Assistant to the President and Staff Secretary in the White House, and then as Acting Chief Performance Officer at the Office of Management and Budget. She had previously served as Co-Director of Agency Review for the Obama-Biden Transition Project. Prior to joining the Transition, Lisa served for six years as the Executive Director of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy. During the Administration of President Clinton, Lisa was Counsel to Vice President Gore and a member of the Executive Board of the President’s Committee for Employment of People with Disabilities. She also served as an Attorney Adviser in the Office of Legal Counsel at the Department of Justice. Before entering the government, Lisa was a partner at the Washington law firm of Shea & Gardner. Lisa clerked for the Honorable John C. Godbold on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University with a degree in political economy, and earned her law degree from the University of Chicago Law School where she graduated with Honors and served as Editor-in-Chief of the University of Chicago Legal Forum.

Adam joined the University in January 2011. Prior to coming to Georgetown, Adam was an associate with the law firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in New York, N.Y. Adam received his undergraduate degree in Finance and Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Kelly joined the University in 2006. Prior to coming to Georgetown, she was an associate at the law firm of Covington & Burling in Washington, DC. Kelly received her undergraduate degree in Political Science and English from Villanova University and her law degree from Harvard Law School.

Elizabeth joined the University in February 2011 from the Washington office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where she counseled private investment firms with respect to private equity and hedge fund formation and operations and public companies with respect to matters of compliance with federal securities laws. Before joining Gibson Dunn, she practiced in the corporate department at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York. Elizabeth received her undergraduate degree in English from Davidson College and her master of arts in English and law degree from Duke University.

Paul joined the University in early 2007. Before coming to Georgetown, Paul served for six years as Vice President & Deputy General Counsel of PBS, where he provided legal support and counsel on a wide range of legal and business issues including structuring and negotiating complex business transactions; trademark, copyright and intellectual property; media and entertainment; technology and Internet-related issues; and complex commercial litigation and risk management. Paul also previously served as Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary of CAIS Internet, a Nasdaq Internet service and broadband solutions provider headquartered in Washington, DC. Paul began his in-house legal career after more than a decade of law firm practice, most recently with Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue. He earned his J.D. from Cornell Law School in 1989 and his undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Phi Beta Kappa, from the George Washington University.

Megan joined the University in 2014.  Prior to coming to Georgetown, she served for seven years as an Associate General Counsel at the University of South Florida, specializing in employment matters.  Megan also previously worked in private practice in the areas of labor and employment law.  She received her undergraduate degree in English from Florida State University and her law degree from the University of Georgia.  While in law school, Megan was an Articles Editor of the Georgia Law Review. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Order of the Coif.

Josh Dermott joined the University in March 2014.  Prior to coming to Georgetown, Josh served as Associate Director of Legal Resources for the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), a professional association dedicated to advancing the effective practice of higher education attorneys.  Before that, Josh practiced as an associate in the Washington, DC office of Crowell & Moring LLP.  Josh earned his law degree from American University and his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame, where he was captain of the swim team.

Prior to coming to Georgetown, Sionne was an associate with the law firm of Arnold & Porter LLP in Washington, DC. in the employment and litigation practice groups. Sionne received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland and her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
